Originally we moved to Spain a little closer to the coast, thinking that we would spend a lot of time on the beach. Reality did not. We would go to a good cafeteria and enjoy the views from time to time.

The Vélez is located in the Almeria area near the border to Murcia, less than an hour by car from the popular coastal cities of Mojacar and Aguilas. We are also blessed from being quite close to the picturesque Lago Negratin with natural spas in Zujar.
